I'm trying to finish up a theater room in my attic - slow process. I need to wire for a sub but I'm not sure where and what type of wire. Should I put it in the corner or along the wall somewhere? My room is 14.5' wide, about 26' long and 7.5' high, which is roughly 2800 cubic feet. My front L&R speakers are going to be really close to the walls due to my screen which will be 8'-9' wide, so would the sub be okay placed in one of the corners right next to one of the front speakers (if there is room)?
Can I wire it from the receiver with RG6-QS and use RCA plugs? Should I wire more than one location? Just corners or wall area too?

On a different topic, I'm leaning toward AV123 x-series speakers. Which sub would be better, an AV123 or an SVS? What size would work best for the room? Movies and TV 90% of the time.

Thanks!

Price range? Yes, use RG-6 with RCA plugs.

Avoid corners for your main speakers, but for the sub it is often a good spot.

As to which is better, that depends on what price range you are looking at. The MFW-15 looks like a pretty nice sub for the money.

Sorry. I'm looking to stay at $1500 for speakers, sub and receiver. AV123 has a lot of pull on several forums for their price, that's why I'm leaning that way, but I wasn't sure if their subs were as good as SVS's.
Thanks.

Is there any other wiring I need to run prior to drywalling the room? I've wired RG6 to two locations for the sub, opposite corners, one at the front of the room and one at the back of the room. Both corners have 110VAC as well. Do I need any other wiring for the receiver or the speakers or anything I can't think of?
I'll be going with one of the three subs, SVS, AV123 or HSU, but I don't know what I may need for each. Never wired a sub before.
Thanks.

All you should need is what you've got for them already. RG6 feed and AC and you should be good to go for the sub, and in-wall rated wire for the other speakers.
