Sub to match B&W CM9s?

What would be a good sub to match my setup?

CM9s fronts
CM Centre 2
CM1s surrounds

The subwoofer that matches the set is the B&W ASW 10 which is $1,500.

Do you think I should just buy the matching sub or get a different one?

I have a 10x20 room, and movie and music sound quality is most important for me. Brands or specific subs are welcomed! Thanks in advance!:)

You don't need a sub to "match" your speakers, you just need a good sub. No, I probably wouldn't buy a B&W sub either, especially not for that price. For that price you could get TWO excellent subs.

Take a look at the typical recommendations: Rythmik F12, Epik Empire or Legend, Emotiva X-Ref12, HSU VTF-3, SVS, etc... ANY of those should do well in a room that size.

Anybody else with any recommendations? Or have a favorite from the ones he recommended?

With a $1500 budget, I would recommend getting 2x subs. It will be easier to get flatter FR in more listening positions. Or, you can stack them in a corner and get more output than one of same Dollar amount. Best would be is you get a $1500 sub now and add a matching one down the line :D.

From experience I can say the SVS subs are bullet proof. My PB-12 Ultra would easily pressurize a 20x25 space. At $1200, the PB-13 Plus looks great.

Dual Rythmik subs would be a good match for your setup there as would these following options:

You could also look into a pair of these at that price: RS1200K kit

Or even a pair of these!! RS1202K
