I recently purchased a Paradigm PDR 12 sub. Is there an advantage to wiring the main speakers into the sub? I have a Yamaha RX-V1 reciever and Paradigm Monitor 7's main speakers.
Thanks

Yes and no. Wired into the sub will take all the bass information dependent on the crossover setting on the sub and put it in the sub and send the rest of the info to the mains.

However leave your Monitor 7's alone and use the LFE output on the V1. i think you will find this gives you much better control. Just check your settings on the v1 so you have the low frequency set for both sub and mains. Adjust accordingly to your tastes sit back and enjoy. Try not to annoy the neighbors to much.
