The Wife hates the subwoofer and the only option is to place it in the audio cabinet that the tv sits in on the bottom shelf beind wooden doors. There is no back to the bottom shelf. Will this affect performance? Should the ports face the front to reflet back or should they face to the back to reflect off of the back wall. Any ideals. This is a downfiring subwoofer

yes it will mess up the sound of the subwoofer. to put in wife terms, it's as reasonable as putting an open flame inside a microwave.

Dude, sack up and put your foot down. Find a place where you can use it as a little end table.

Or just try to hide it with something she doesn't hate. It can be done.

Just hearing this concerns me for what I may face when I eventually go and get the Ultra13... uhg... How big is your sub? What does she not like about it? Look, placement, size, color, the fact that it is just a box that sits in the room, etc?

Take your wife to Michael's and buy her a really nice imitation potted plant. We have a five footer in front of the box sub in the living room. It hides it well and doens't do anything to the sound.

I am now looking for a ficus to hide my new 25-31 plus!:D

Babel, that sub Ultra13 will be close to the size of what I have now as an end table..
I know you have seen my pics...
22" h X 20.5" w x 27" d (4" shorter)

That is why I am sticking with my Plus/2 19" Wide, 26.5" High and 28" Deep

CAUSE ITS PRETTY !!!!!!!
