Sub not working

Hello all,

I may be in the market for a new sub. Noticed yesterday it's not firing/working but power light is on. I'm going to buy another sub cable and see if that's the problem. If it is, I've got away cheap. If not, I may be in the market for a sub to match my SVS Ultra series speakers.

Did you check to make sure pure direct or direct wasnt accidentally engaged in the avr?

From your older posts you had a BIC sub and were considering an svs sub. Now might be the right opportunity to look into a quality sub for your recently upgraded speakers... You would be surprised how much a quality sub would improve your system.

Unless the cable came unplugged, the cable isn't it. Power light on and no sound usually means failed amp.

I bought a new sub cable. Going to see if this will fix it. If not, it’s time for a new Ultra sub

Ya not trying to make you spend money, just spreading the good word about the high quality subs from SVS and Rythmik and HSU and how they really would make your system shine! Yes, I’m an enabler... LOL

Well, I swapped out the sub cable last night and now my sub works. I’ll keep it until it dies on me. Till then, SVS may have the best of the best sub ever made lol
