I searched google for 'bass amp as subwoofer' and found some discouraging things. The freq response of the typical bass amp doesn't reach very low. Even if you can figure out how to properly get a signal into it from your sub-out, it probably won't be that satisfying.
That said, you can always try it and see. Do that search on google, you'll find other who have done this.
