Sorry if I am being annoying about starting so many threads but I really dont want to waste my har earned money away,,,,,,,,ok I have come to this. I am going to buy a sub this friday without ever hearing it. I am going to be listening to mostly music and some movies.............These are my choices...

HSU STF-1-8",150 Watt,299$
Cadence XSUB-12" 350 Watt, 230$
I would really like the sub to really shake my house becuase I love listening to music loud and I dont want to just hear treble...I am leaing towards the cadence because its cheaper and it has a higher output.............

SO tell me what do you think..............................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm voting for the STF-1 -- on the reputation of the company alone.

I can't help you on the HSU, but I own the Cadence, and I'll be listening to the $429 SVS PB10 ISD Friday morning, along with all their other subs. I may even take my XSUB to SVS to see how it compares. We'll see.

Hey Buck, that is about the best avatar I have seen you with. Not Bad. (Edit::: You changed it before I even had a chance to finish this post?????? I like the one with the guy hitting himself with the club!!!!!!)

BTW out of those 2 I went with the X-Sub

OK, I'll change it back. I downloaded a few more tonight. I can't decide. The great ones are all larger than 64x64. I've got some great Ohio State stuff, but they're all too large. The last one is my all time favorite. :)

Not to hijack the thread, so here's my opinion on the little 8" dude. I'd be very surprised if that little 8" shakes the house like this Cadence does. It may be a tad more musical, but I've got 4-7" woofers in my towers, and twice the interior cabinet volume, so I just can't imagine an 8" woofer doing much more than 4-7's. I could be wrong. This is a very tough thread, because no one (I'll bet my last paycheck) has both a Cadence XSUB and HSU or even an SVS in their house right now.

I don't know the HSU but being that it's an 8" driver I'd bet the Cadence sounds better.
