SUB:Axiom EP500 or SV Sound PB12-plus/2

Looking for help! Budget is $1500 for sub..was set on EP500... new review of SV makes me wonder?? Room is rectangular 22 feet wide, but 35 feet deep so left hand wall is 8 feet from where we're sitting but open on other side. Ideas???????

Thanks for the input, I'm glad I didn't order the Axiom... will be driving the amp with an Rx-v2600....any power issues?? I'm relatively new to this... will the set up/calibration isues for the PB-12 be much more difficult than the Axiom??

your RX-v2600 will only power the speakers and not the subwoofer (those subwoofers are self powered)

Ive got an ep500, and i would recomend it, cept your room is pretty large. In my room, 15x16 or so, i couldnt handle much more base. Plus my friend has a +2, and the thing is just too friggin big. Im a college kid so i move a lot, and I just couldnt handle that monster. You'll be happy with either one im sure

Thanks....I didn't know the amp was self powered. Specifically, while the room is long. we will be sitting on one end of it so the viewing dimensions are 22 feet in front ( to wall ), glass door 4 feet to left (of left hand seat) and the room is open to the right.........

yeah i used to think id eventually get a plus/2 as well.. uintil i realized how big the thing was.. there is no way id want that sittin in my room, its an eyesore even for me, and im definately no interior decorator..

plus its a hassel to move. i think im goin with one ep500.. then eventually gettin another one to put on the other side. if needed that is.
