Sub ~$600 Floor Speaker Options

Hey everyone. I'm new to the forum and am putting together a home theater setup. This will be used to run my record player as well as my TV setup. I want to start with 2 nice but budget friendly floor speakers and then expand form there.

I thought I was set on the ELAC F5's but want to know if there are any better options for all around performance?

This would be paired with an Onkyo TX-NR656 receiver (any better options here?).

Does anyone have experience with the Canton GLE490's? I love the look and am considering these as well.

Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!

Why Onkyo? Even though I own a Onkyo now, I won't be buying current onkyo products, Since last years reliability was spotty at best and they dropped best auto-room correction for a "different" one
Thanks for the speaker suggestions. Are those better than the F5's?

As far as the Onkyo receiver...No specific reason. This is my first "real" setup I'm trying to build so if there are better options I am open to them.

You might want to consider getting older model of avr from Craigslist. Lacking latest features should not be a problem for you. I expect $200 will go a long way on second hand market
