Stupid Research Findings

I don't know about others, but I'm sick and tired of seeing stupid conclusions to things that have been known for God only knows how long. For example, I read a headline just this morning that went something like this, "Studies show eating right and exercise help with losing weight." You don't say? Now I'm all for scientific progress, but where do I sign to receive money for these such studies :D

While some research does seem like a waste of time in a scientific sense anecdotal evidence, as it is called, is not evidence. This makes properly done, peer reviewed, research necessary if one wants to expand research into another related field.

If one wants to become a respected researcher or at least conduct a study using proper methodology bias should be controlled for as best as possible and starting with baseless* assumptions is not the way to do it.

*Anecdotal evidence is seen as baseless in terms of research.

AP - A recent study shows that studying studies of studies may subdue you into seemingly simple sublime studies. Studies suggest that studying studies may simplifiy sickle senses of sensuality, therefore de-sensifying your sense to study. These statistics come from studying statistics of studying.

Translation: Studies are like statistics. 100% of statistics show that they may be statistical. :D :D :D
