Stupid 4/8ohm impedance setting on Denon x4300h

So I’ve been using my recently acquired M&K 750 THX MKII mains and center channel with the 550THX surrounds for almost 2 weeks now and when watching Atmos 4K UHD movies at high volume levels I always felt like the speakers either weren’t living up to their name or I’m just being biased coming from years of always using one form of Omnipolar or Bipolar speakers. I got my AVR for a great deal and have always just assumed the guy who had it before me never messed with the impedance setting but a few mins ago I checked it out and low and behold it was set to 4ohms. My L/C/R are all 4 ohm nominal speakers. Needless to say I immediately switched it back to the well
Agreed upon 8ohm setting and the speakers, especially the center channel sound so much more detailed and clear. What a stupid setting to include on an AVR.

It's always a good start with a used avr to clear it with a factory/microprocessor reset....
