I did't find any place where i should post this tread, so i decided to post it here. I'm a beginner in A/V but i want to become a professional. I want to work with loudspeaker especialy into research or anything which concern the A/V. i'm actually a student at the Polytechnique of Montréal (in Canada) in electrical engineering. Is it a good choice ? Is there some A/V company hiring this kind of engineer ?

I hope you'll be able to answer my question.

thanks,
Phil.

Do you want to install AV stuff or do you actually want to design equipment and circuits? If you want to do the latter, then EE is a good choice.

i don't want to install AV stuff... you don't need university classes for that :)
Creating new circuit or high-end equipment. that's what interest me a lot.

Hah, that's what I hope to get a job doing. And I'm studying EE here at UM. Hopefully I can get something decent with a Bachelor's degree, I'd hate to spend more time and money at school so soon after graduating to get a Master's.
