Nice, very nice. I like the idea of placing the corner brackets and stacking between them. This was to give you fastening points for the cover frame, right?

Yes. The brackets in the middle also broke the stack into two parts...I found one 8-foot stack was a little unstable.

This is similar to what I've built for my room and it works great to control bass. But what I've found is that it has altered the imaging/soundstage of my system. I would suggest this be done as part of a well-planned package to get the best effect. I've made several homemade panels to experiment with (read: play with), but I do intend to get professional advice and better looking professional panels as an upgrade later.
