Pretty torn b/w Plasma and LCD. Researching all I can, economics is not necessarily the most important to me. I'm looking for 45" - 50", for the family room (medium sized) with definately ambient lighting. I have a DLP Mits RP in another room, and I love the HD picture, but the viewing angles...
Yes, I know there's no definitive answer here, and there's pros/cons to any technology, but specifically,
1) 1080p on the Sharp 45 LCD - what's this about it NOT actually accepting 1080p
good god what's the deal there. otherwise, I'm kind of leaning towards this (COSTCO seems to have a good price on it).
2) Do not play video games, but still worried about "burn-in"...maybe just me, but it just doesn't seem right having to consciously alter your behaviour for the sake of the television. Is this overblown?
I do think the plasma's appear "richer" subjectively (black levels?) and relatively better value however. Tks in advance
