I will soon be getting a Yamaha RX-V1400 receiver and a HSU VTF-2 MK2

I want a low cost speaker system to use until I find a good speaker set in use in a living room apprx 500 sq ft.

I am looking at the Streem HT-33 and the HSU VT-12 Ventriloguist. The HT-33 price seems to good to be true, any help?

Thanks

I've never heard of Streem before, and I'd sure hate to be the guinea pig. Hsu have a very good reputation (and I've been very happy with their products & service), so I'd give them the nod. If you're definately buying a HSU sub, there are a lot of companies you can buy 5 decent speakers from without breaking the bank.

Everyone I've talked to that owns the Ventriloquist has been very pleased, and they have an very good money back guarentee. You can't go wrong by giving it a try. Also, Athena & PSB make some very nice budget speakers.

What's the range you're willing to spend?

Streem or HSU

I want to stay below 1500 for speakers and sub. I would buy something now but I just can't make up my mind on a system. So instead of rushing and buying something I won't be happy with I am going to get some fill in speakers
for around 350 that can be put in my shop when I get the good ones.
