Streaming TV Shows via kodi to media player

Has anyone ever tried to stream movies using Kodi (XBMC renamed) from an Android device to a smart tv or media player?

To clarify, from Kodi running on the tablet to my Western Digital since I do not have a smart TV.

While it is possible, it's not easy to do. Like Lulimet mentioned - im also big fan of fire stick. Only con is no hd audio bitstreaming or vc1 support

I figured it out. The WD needed a firmware upgrade which included miracast which was needed in order for the tablet to see the WD. I watched S1E1 of Agents of Shields via Kodi using window mirroring to by display in the home Theater.

Wow, I never thought that WD would support miracast. That is cool of them to add that.
