Strange problem with volume on Pioneer VSX 522

When I turn the volume down on this, it lowers normally until it gets to 52, then jumps directly from there to Max, and begins lowering again from there. Does it every time with both main vol. Knob and remote. Tried reset. Very strange. I'm guessing some kind if logic cuircut failure and the whole think is now junk, but though I'd see if anyone has any ideas?

Is there a way to do a reset on the AVR? Maybe that will help. Good luck.

Yes, there is a factory reset procedure that I tried, but no change.

Call the Pioneer and see if they know about this.

Maybe that is the end of the range on the control and starts anew?
