Recently there has been a StormAudio webinar discussing the features on the new 4.2R0 firmware release and roadmap into next year, this latest firmware release has enabled some substantial features that are worth taking note of.
For those that have been busy and haven’t had a chance to review the features we have condensed some of the main benefits here for your perusal:
StormAudio General Firmware Release 4.2r0
StormAudio’s latest Firmware 4.2r0 release brings brand new features, enhancements and bug fixes.
Amongst these, new game-changing features include:
A new 3D viewer embedded in the Speaker Configurator tool to provide a 3D visualisation of the defined theatre that helps make the installation process with the StormAudio ISP even more intuitive and easy to use.
Activation of the new AoIP AES67 optional module features. The StormAudio ISP MK1 and MK2 AoIP is the only residential solution on the market that can support up to 32ch input and 32ch output. It supports Ravenna and Dante AES67 mode and is fully compatible with DCI and Dolby ecosystems. AoIP installations have full access to the ISP features, e.g., 32ch DSP processing, multi-theatre and multi-zone management, Dirac Live and Bass Control in any room.
The StormXT ambience expander. A proprietary solution developed in-house that fills gaps left by incompatibilities between Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro and Auro-3D maximizing all speakers wherever possible. The algorithm extracts ambient audio signals from nearby speakers and redirects them to silent unused speakers to make full use of all speakers in the theatre.
The general firmware release 4.2r0 is available for download on the StormAudio client portal as of today, contact your installer for more information. This new package and its features are compatible with ISP MK1 and MK2 and as always completely free.
