Stop source-changing click when ever a sound first plays?

As the title says, I'm trying to find a way to stop the source-changing-click of my Onkyo 607 has whenever a sound first plays via HDMI from my HTPC.

Equipment/Software
-Windows 7
-HDMI video/audio output via Nvidia 8300 integrated
-Onkyo 607

I guess what's causing it is the PC only sends signal when there is audio so the receiver/PC has to resync whenever sound first starts causing a loud click and a few seconds delay in audio. Video is never interrupted.

I had to disable windows sounds because everytime I would simply click on anything the receiver would "click". However, this doesn't fix everything as I tend to pause a lot to browse the net or do random things. Each time I lose 3-4 seconds of dialog and have to either live with it or rewind.

So, does anyone know a way to prevent this in windows 7 or my onkyo?

As far as I know, you can't stop the Onkyo 'click'. Its present on all their receivers. I have the 3007 model, and it clicks. I don't lose 3-4 seconds of audio when I switch however, it just makes the clicking noise. So I'm not sure if you have an issue with your PC. I don't have a PC hooked up to my system.

The lost audio is just a symptom of it having to go through resyncing HDMI, like how when you change sources it isn't instantly on screen. It's probably closer to 2 seconds or less but it feels like forever.

I can get rid of it by using a Digital Coax but I'm limited to 2 of those and I have enough wiring already.

The only thing I can think of would be some way to toggle the nvidia output to being constant? Is there any setting anyone knows about that would do this?
