Still the recommended $5K system?

I have been starting to research adding a media room to our house. One of the many, but hopefully simpler, problems to solve is the sound system for the area. The main question here is this … Is the EMPTek/Denon recommended system still the recommendation for this price point.

Little more about my setup and what we are looking for:
• This will be an all-purpose media room. The speakers themselves will need to perform well with music, sports, and movies. The main room is 16x25x9.
• I will be using my existing sub with the system which is a SVS PC12-Plus.
• I would like to include a multi-zone setup where music/sports can be heard in the next room (which will be more of a bar type setup) and/or outside on the patio. Any recommendations on cheap(er) sealed outdoor speakers that will survive Kansas winters? In ceiling speakers for 5.1.X atmos or bar music?

So overall looking for recommendations on 5.0 main speaker system, 2 or 4 main room ceiling speakers, 2 secondary room in ceiling speakers, 2 outdoor speakers and a receiver to power it all.

Thanks in advance!

I would think the Denon x4200 with the help of some external amps would be the ticket.

I have heard the emptek on a denon x1200 and was pretty impressed.

Thanks for the reply.

Any recommendations on amps to pair with the x4200?
How do you like your SVS primes? Those seems to be in the same price range as the EMPs.
