I was green as could be 5 years ago. It was Klipsch everything . So here's my work in progress I have (thanks to this forum and best bang for the buck kind of guy with your advice). Now own Outlaw audio 5000 amp and 975 w/4K switcher box (great price on black friday 2020) for my Klipsch Synergy medium system 5.i package system. I Iown a Marantz 2325 with Cerwin Vega S2's since the 70's which is the best sound I have been exposed to. Fast forward, Today I just received used Ascend LR&C Sierra 2's.(Preference was the 340's if I was going to buy new)) So. Now I need a subwoofer.. Ascend has gone with Rythmik and budget is the f12 400.. Or I can do dual SVS SB 2000's Bought a retirement small home that living room is open to kitchen but system is on ?the sidewall ( Worst case scenario and placing a second sub will be a challenge. 2 SVS or one f12 400?

If you have room to experiment with placement, and prioritize one seat, I’d buy the Rythmik. There’s a case to be made for multiple subs, and I’m definitely an advocate of that. However the main advantage of multiple is smoothing the response, over multiple seats. And if you’re mainly focused on one seat, I advocate for the single best sub you can afford. It seems like the f12 is that sub for you. I don’t like sealed subs. But of these two, my money goes to Rythmik. Svs does offer free shipping and a nice upgrade path, but that experience is built in to the price, and unfortunately also affects customers that never even use their CS. Svs has legendary CS, but nothing is free. The app can be handy though. FWIW, I own svs subs, used and like both. Just like Rythmik better.
