Thanks for all of the suggestions and information about the gear. I am prepared to purchase the following gear from a local stereo dealer and wanted to know if the equipment I am putting together is a good choice and if the price is acceptable as this is my first purchase of high end equipment. Thanks!

Golden Ear Triton 7 Speakers
NAD C375DAC Integrated Amp
NAD C 546BEE CD Player
NAD PP 2e Phono Preamp

Total Price $3,300

It doesn't seem bad.

I personally wouldn't spend my $3300 on those.

I don't even use CD or Vinyl as a source since I stream lossless music files exclusively.

Everyone is different.

OK, who has been giving you advice, lol...

$3300...'

Heres what I would buy, and if you put that gear next to it you would be alarmed, lol unless you really like the tritons, I am not crazy about them...

$1760 for towers, I like the sound these make, BUT there are tons of nice towers out there, I am just throwing these out for example..... Monitor Audio - Silver Series 8- 3-way Floorstanding Speaker-Audio Advisor

this amp $400 https://emotiva.com/products/amplifiers/xpa-200

I love this cd player $200 Parasound - Zcd - CD Player / USB Player-Audio Advisor

And then I would get this preamp https://emotiva.com/products/pres-and-pros/xsp-1 they have bstock for $100 less but you have to call them to get the deal... And that will be the last premap you ever buy, that thing does everything... I see the nad has a dac box included so you can add one of these to the xsp1 and it will do the same thing http://www.amazon.com/Signstek-Coaxial-Converter-Decoder-Analogue/dp/B00FEDHHKE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1410218386&sr=8-2&keywords=muse+dac or add an xda2 for another $200 it already has a phone pre amp built in, and it will look good with the matching amp...

Now there are way more options for your budget, like instead of towers get a pair of sb2000 subs and bookshelfs, the possibilities are endless...

But the above system will cost less and if you a b'd them I think would bring a smile to your face pretty fast, plus it should come in under budget because you can join the emo club and save 10% plus buy bstock and save more...

OR, I will sell you a pair of Jade 5's with a XDA2 dac/pre, and a XPA2 amplifier {never used in box}, and a nad cd player for $3200 :D not bad considering the speakers have very little use {couple hours} and cost $3300 alone...

good luck..

PS if you already listened to a bunch of stuff and that list makes you happy, by all means, pull the trigger and never look back, but since you are asking I figured I would give you an idea of where my head would be...

I would loose the NAD Integrated amp on your list, unless you get it for under $500.00 and that's stretching it. The other choices on your list I can't comment on. For that kind of money you're gonna spend you can do a lot better. BTW you're not even close to high end.

"BTW you're not even close to high end. "

Compared to you Walter, not a lot of people are, but it is definitely higher end than the box stores :)

Golden Ear's do not get a lot of love on these forums, I often feel like the red headed step child  at least my parasound amps aren't criticized LOL

Fortunately, I do own 1 pair of the T7s soon to be 2 pair. I have been very happy with their performance which is echoed by pretty much every professional review I have read.

For their price point I think they are an excellent value, they measure well, off axis is good, at least from the measurements performed by sound and vision, and I really l like the HVFR tweets for music.

There are definitely alternatives, I have not heard every speaker, but they are excellent speakers for the price point, in my humble opinion, and serve as my mains in my bedroom setup and will be my surrounds in my Man Cave which I am building. Depending on the size of your room you might want to invest in subwoofer, to get deep down on the base level.

That being said I have had 0 experience with NAD, so I can't provide an opinion. If it were me I would get the Parasound P5 with a A23 amp for 2 channel, depending on room size an A21. I was going to go that route, but then spent my money on that Denon 4520 deal for 1k which I couldn't pass up.

If you have the time, test as many speakers as you can to determine what sounds good to you, and if its still the T7s than go for it :)

I know you have been at this for a while because I have read your posts in both the beginner and Loudspeaker forums as well :D
