Stereo Subwoofer Advice

I currently have a pair of Axiom M2i's, a Yamaha HTR-5550 receiver, and Velodyne VX-10 sub - which I am looking to upgrade. I am thinking of something around or under the $600 mark, and am looking for good detail.

Thanks,
Josh

Are you into stereo music listening? Not HT? If so, a subwoofer with musical qualities would be in order. Offhand, I would say that sealed-type powered sub enclusures can be your best bet for a musical sub. Do checkout the REL Strata or even the B&W ASW600 or 650. .

I own a Pinnacle Digital Sub 350 (same as newer model 600) and am very happy with it. I haven't compared it to any of the other big hitters such as REL, SVS, or HSU, though. Bought it at www.reliableaudiovideo.com and was very happy with both price and service.

Check out Yamaha YST SW 315/800/1500. Khellandros and other members out here have had positive experience with Yamaha subs.

The Outlaw LFM-1 is in house now and sounds pretty darn good for the price ($579 I believe). It's tuned to 25Hz, but puts out a tremendous amount of punch. I haven't taken measurements as of yet, but the review is due out shortly.
