Step up from the Teac A-H01

I got the Teac A-H01 due to its miniscule size [8.5(W) x 2.4(H) x 10.2(D)] and connectivity for a desk amp. After a while of listening to it with just about all types of content with my 2.1 setup via optical, I've decided that it sounds okay, but not mind-blowing. It also has a loose headphone jack (which I use often - and carefully). With that in mind, what would be an improvement in the $300 range with similar desk friendly dimensions?
