I'm thinking about buring my DVD's to computer hardrive and using windows media player to play to TV through the 2700. Anyone doing this; can this be done on the RX-V2700?

It could be done with any receiver if the video card in the computer has the appropriate video outputs and the audio card has a digital output that supports pass-through of Dolby Digital.

I believe 427L wants to know if the 2700 supports video streaming in the same way it does music with the GUI. If that's the case, no, it does not. I'm guessing that feature will be implemented within a couple of years though. It seems like the next logical step.

if u have a DVI out on your comp, connect it with a DVI to HDMI cable
for sound, if u have optical out, that's simple. if u have a 5channel out, get a cable with RCA ends so u can plug it into your multi ch in. if u just have a single 2channel plug, get a cable that converts it to 2 RCA jacks (red and white)
