Just trying to hook up a Denon avr-2802 with my new Denon dvd-900. Assuming the composite video out to the receiver/TV is the way to go? Planning on using the standard digital out for audio, will I accomplish better results using the co-ax digital cable for audio?? What are advantages, if any??
Please let me know.....

thanks,

coax digital, component video, analog audio, it's all the same cable!!!

They all use the same standard 75 Ohm coax cable with RCA connectors that is called an A/V or video cable. You know, just like the Radio Shack Gold A/V series that you can get for $9-$15.

So if someone tries to sell you an expensive "digital coax" cable for your digital audio, just say no thanks.

Just be careful and don't buy a cable marked as an "Audio cable" or "Audio Interconnect" that is actually a 50 Ohm cable.
