Static noise and no HD signal Integra DTR 6.9

I have a strange problem that seems to be getting worse. I have had this receiver for about 3 years now, and it has been fantastic.

But starting a few months ago, when I would turn it on with my TV and DirecTV receiver, the Integra would say no signal. Often it would have audio but no video. If I switched the satellite to a non-HD channel, everything would work fine. After a few minutes, I could switch back and the HD was there and it all worked perfectly. I switched some cables around to try to isolate the problem, and couldn't tell the difference, seems to only happen when the A/V receiver is "cold". Also, sometimes when watching a movie on Blu-Ray, there would be no picture or sometimes bad video with images outlined in a white static shade.

And recently, when the Integra receiver is turned on, there is a terrible LOUD static "clicking" noise for a couple of minutes, then again, everything thing works fine.

I am about to take everything out of the cabinet (big job) and clean in all out, hoping it's possibly some static dust causing the problems.

Does anyone have any other ideas?


Hooked up to this receiver are:

DirecTV receiver via HDMI
Sony Blu-Ray player via HDMI
Xbox 360 via HDMI
Apple airtunes via analog

Attached to a Sony Bravia TV via HDMI

Integra has a three year warranty. Have you passed that?
I've had all good dealings with there support services. Maybe the dealer you purchased it from can help, if you're slightly passed the expiration date.
They're located in NJ. I doubt you'll get anyone until this storm blows over.

I actually hadn't thought about the warranty, I was wondering if someone might know what was going on.

I had to dig pretty deep, but I found the receipt. I purchased it in March of 2009. Figures....

I'll give the place I bought it a call tomorrow, assuming they are still in business.

Update:

It seems the place I bought this receiver from is no longer in business. So my only two options are to pay to have it fixed and be without sound for weeks. Or replace it.

Ugh.

I'm sure there is a "what should I buy" thread around here somewhere....
