So I just got my new 50' hd tv. I has 3 hdmi inputs and an optical out. Right now I only plan on hooking up my ps3 and, in time, a upconvert dvd player.
The type of 5.1 receiver I'm looking for needs an optical in, DD, DTS and their HD counter-parts. I don't think i need HDMI switching or passthrough since I can hook both my devices to the tv directly. My price range is around $300.
I'm looking at Yamaha HTR-5930 and the Sony DG810, but I would like to know if there are better options.
