Just purchased my first home and starting out with a 2.1 system comprised of Definitive BP6b's and a Martin Logan Dynamo 12" sub. I plan on stepping up to a 5.1 system hopefully using Monitor Audio silver's and keeping my ML Dynamo for the sub. The TV will likely be a 50" plasma but haven't decided brand yet. I have some work to do as far as the dynamics of this room which I'll have a separate post for I think it's going to be tough.

Yep, going to be a very tough room looks like. Tile plus the opening to the stairwell, and the inset nook. I'd pull the speakers out a few inches to give them some more breathing room. If you could put the sub where the table on the left of the couch (right corner next to the nook) is, that might help it some too.

I think you would get alot more of attention out of your speakers if you took the snow globe and the 1/24th inch car off of the top of them. :p

Its a great start. Now all you need to decide is if you are going to put the HT in the room or design the room around the HT :D

LOL, at least it's not a snow globe but the autographed Nolan Ryan Baseball and the Porsche model have been relocated since these photos were taken.

As with most of us I'll have to compromise.

Hey cool! What was in the AEM box?

SheepStar

It was probably the intake for my GF Integra though.

That nook at the bottom of the stairs will make a nice entrance to your new HT. But you'll have to add on to the side of the house for a proper HT room. :D

I somtimes listen to movies in 2 channel, with the right speakers it sounds great.
I think you will have a difficult time getting a 5.1 system to blend together properly but the way you have it setup right now looks great.

Your g/f drives a modded Integra? Thats awsome.
