Hi All
After quite some thinking, I think I've figured out what speakers I'm going to purchase. Axiom M60v2 with a VP150 to start with. After time and saving more money then I will buy the QS8's and a sub (not sure which one yet). I was leaning towards the M80v2 but having a discussion with a tech rep from Axiom, based on my reciever (Denon AVR1508), he encouraged me not to go with the M80's as they are rated 4ohms and my reciever is not rated fo that. The other speakers that I was looking at were the Energy RC-70 ($1250 CAD per piece) and the Klipsch RF82 and Paradigms Monitor series (never really decided on which one). I've owned a pair of Energy speakers for 20 years and they still sound good. So moving away from Energy was a bit of a challenge. I do like Axioms 30 day guaranty if end up not liking the sound quality.
Wish me luck.

Are you Canadian? Axiom is very good bang for the buck...
I think you won't be disappointed but I do have a question: Did you audition before you bought them? Even if you haven't I still don't think you'll send them back

Yes, I'm from Canada. From what I understood, Axiom was only factory direct. Am I wrong? I was hoping that after I audition these speakers in my house that I would be very happy with them. I've read a lot of possitive reviews. They do have a 30 day guarantee. If I'm not satisfied I will just ship them back and be out the shipping cost which is under $100. I am no audiophile expert btw.

I am no audiophile expert either
I heard only good things about Axiom - I'd be surprised if you send them back... These guys are a no-nonsense company.

I'm trying to sell all my salt water aquarium equipment as I am getting out of that hobby. As soon as most of it sells, I will be placing my order with Axiom. :D

Rethinking the reciever I have. I'm wondering what it would take to get a reciever that would drive the Axiom M80's. What brand/model. There seems to be an endless amount out there. It's a little overwhelming.

Most any current brand name receiver will be just fine with the M80s. For 3 years I used a Denon 2807 and it worked just fine. As far as M80s vs M60 you will get more responses at the Axiom forum if you haven’t already posted there someone recently asked the questions, maybe you?

I haven’t heard the M60s but most people who have heard both the M80s and M60 say that it would be hard to tell the difference w/o doing an A/B comparison.
