See the complete Star Trek series in greater detail than they originally intended for you to ever see it! Just think of that - the sets - the costumes - the gaudy colors - the really short skirts!

Star Trek was filmed in 35mm, just like most movies have been, and it has been skillfully remastered for Blu-ray.

This set includes the original effects, as well as redone effects for many scenes, so you can watch the episodes either way. And the sound is great.

All three seasons, with all the great episodes (along with all the bad ones, with children and space hippies)!

Buy it before they raise the price; this is over $100 off retail price.

I bought the second season about four years ago for $60. This is quite a good deal if you like the series. I haven't watched every episode, but the video clarity and resolution on the ones that I watched is pretty stunning. Not always pleasing :D, but stunning. After all, the makeup wasn't intended to be viewed in 1080p on larger TVs. It's also available in HD on Netflix and Amazon Instant Video (free to Prime members), so you can enjoy it that way for even less money.

I don't think you get your choice of soundtracks or special effects if you watch them from Netflix and probably not on Amazon Instant Video either. And, at least with my gear, when watching Netflix in HD, it does not look as good as a BD. In the case of something that is not HD, Netflix does not look as good as a DVD.
