JJ Abrams is writing it?!?!? Damn. So I guess there's going to be a whole bunch of unanswered questions, and we'll probably only see a corner of the Enterprise, at the very end of the movie.

the prequel idea is so old and overplayed. I suspect a bomb and thats coming from a huge Star Trek fan.

Yah I'm a big Star Trek fan myself, and I suspect a bomb here too. You can't have a Kirk without Shatner.

I hate seeing a cast thats not the original in it. I also feel a prequel is really unnecessary for this, what more in the beginning do we need from it all?

I'd rather see something from DS9 on the big screen myself, I think the character of Benjamin Sisco is so enganging, you couldn't go wrong.

I always though a new show focusing on the Klingons would be cool so you can see their perspective on how they view humanity.

To be honest, there was so much ground covered for Star Trek in the last 40 years its hard to know how to continue forward and keep it fresh while also sticking to the original storyline. I don't envy the writers on this one.

Yeah no Shatner- Kirk, that kinda sucks. I like the old ham, adds texture to the soup.

Hey Mazer, no Hasselhoff images, ok?

She's been the hottest female on any of the series.
She was definitely hot, but I don't know about "hottest".

What about Hoshi and Jolene Blaylock from Enterprise?!?!?

Who woulda thought a Vulcan could be so hot?!?!

Maybe it's my Asian fetish talking, but I thought Hoshi was the hottest of the Star Trek babes. Plus she's got that sweet, smart girl next door kinda thing going on.

Hope these pics aren't too risque for the forum. If so, just delete 'em.

LMAO!
I actually hated most of the Star Trek movies, but count me in for this one!

If it's more like Batman Begins (real and raw), and not something like Superman Returns (campy and "why did you bother making this 80's gay-film") it could do very well.

I agree with Darien. Enterprise had some good-looking women. Don't forget the green women :D

As for the movie, I agree with those who think it'll be a bomb.

It's not Star Trek unless Gene Roddenbury is involved with it (hence, no more talk about DS9/Voyager/Enterprise as being Star Trek). With Roddenbury long dead, Paramount needs to let Star Trek die. As a Star Trek fan from when it originally aired in the 60s, I predict this movie will do as well as ST Nemisis, it will lose a lot of money.

There is a lot of good science fiction literature that Hollywood could make into some very good movies. I would love to see a series of movies following Issac Asimov's Foundation stories. Unfortunately, if this project were to be done, people would claim it is a rip-off of Star Wars, even though the original Foundation trilogy was written decades prior to George Lucas's story.

Hey Don,

I'd love to see Against The Fall of Night on the silver screen, but it would need some talented writer to really bring it to life.
