Hi, I am in the process of looking for speaker stands for my Polk TSi 100's.
I've noticed that the top plate for most of the stands and not deep enough to fit the entire speaker on the stand. Is it ok if the speaker hangs off of the plate a little bit.

11"h x 7"w x 10 1/5" D

Thanks
Joe

It is okay if the speaker is slightly larger than the top plate. As long as the plate is large enough for the speaker to be stable placed on top of it, it is fine.

So far, it's looking like about 3" too short depth wise. I'm guessing that's too much. The search continues.

That is only 1 1/2" in front and 1 1/2" in back. So the stands you are looking at have a top plate of about 7 1/5" deep? That seems like that would be okay, depending on the width.

Make sure that whatever stands you buy are sturdy, and do not wobble. I personally like stands made of just steel (and paint, and with rubber bumpers on top, or just buy a thin rubber pad), but wood can be done that is sturdy (though with cheap wooden stands, they usually are not sturdy).

I had speakers hang about a half inch off the front and two or three inches off the back without issue.

I had some cheap 12" stands that I took the top & bottoms off and made new 24" 4x4" redwood stained main centers and they work and look great.the speakers hang over the edge of the top plate a little & it's very stable.

.

my paradigm mini monitors are roughly the same size as your polks.

They look great ... the triangular base is no problem ?
