ST/VT 30 vs older ST/VT 20

We have sales going on and the dealers are trying to push out the older 2010 ST/VT models. Would you guys recommend them if one gets it about half the price of the newer models?

My usage would be 25% HD & 75% SD.

I found an affordable pricing for a V model compared to VT. 50V20D. But there are so few threads about this. (a PAL region only model). Would this be a recommended buy? Does anyone have info on what the performance is like compared to 50VT20D?
