SR 7010 Marantz HDMI board failure

So the SR7010 HDMI board is unavailable. As I was removing my receiver from the local service agency another gentleman was bringing in the exact receiver for repair. Perhaps a bad batch of boards....Marantz won't admit it but there appear to be a lot of Marantz parts, sans HDMI boards, available online. Does anyone know which chip on the HDMI board is the culprit for failure? I have a hotwork air station that I could use to replace the chip (I've done it before on other pieces of equipment) if I knew which chip was the problem.

Seriously, I have no life.

No idea, but I would bet that the reason the board is not available is likely because the chip you need is NLA. This is the second report on this forum of HDMI board failure on that model. This was a flagship receiver in 2016, and since this is more than 7 years ago, there is no legal requirement to have chips available.

That is a lot of amps to have to chuck away. I advise replacement with separates. Just one question, were you powering a hybrid HDMI cable with that receiver?
