I am trying to setup my home theater and can't wrap my head around how to do it. I am trying to run multiple HDMI devices to 2 HD TVs (both have multiple HDMI ports) with an AV receiver and an HDMI Switch.
Here is what I have
Panasonic HDTV (2 HDMI / 1 optical)
Sony HDTV (2 HDMI / 1 optical)
Onkyo receiver (3 HDMI in / 1 HDMI out)
HDMI Switch (4 in / 2 out)
Xbox 360
PS3
Google TV
PS4 (to be added on release)
What I would ultimately like is to be able to use both TV with any device (including the receiver) I understand that the audio will not be able to output audio on both TVs via the receiver at the same time but I would like to be able to switch between the two and be able to use any of the on either TV with the receivers audio (while the other TV would use internal speakers.)
Is this even possible with this setup and if so, can someone please tell me how.
