Well I just got moved into my loft so I have partially setup my hometheater. It was actually the first thing I accomplished after painting . . . priorities I guess, who needs to sleep and have a bed when I can throw in a movie. Not sure how the pics are going to turn out, my friends digital camera wasn't the best. The first few pics are of the setup and the last are of the view which I had to include, just because I'm loving living in the city already. More pictures to come as I am still in the setting up stage. Tell me what you think

Some more pictures

First picture is a wall off the entrance to my loft, found some old antique film reels in a projection booth that had been sealed off since the 40's or 50's in my friends theater, turned out to be a cool decoration, hopefully when I get my sub they don't ratte too much.

Second and third picture are of the rear wall behind the seating area, I'm still debating on whether or not to mount rear channels on the middle of that wall for 7.1...

The last picture is a better view of the film reels. I'm pretty happy with how it all has turned out, not bad for 2 days work anyway.

I'll take some larger pictures when I can find my digital camera in the disaster that is the rest of the loft, until then I was forced to use my friends old 1/2 mega pixel camera

I am not sure where you lived before but I am curious to hear your take on the change in sound of your system in the loft. It seems you have a fairly large space with higher than normal ceilings. Can you give us your impressions and what you had to change in your speaker setup?

I am partial to the contemporary look so I have to say that I really like the bold colors and clean installation. Great job!

I lived in a 700 sq. ft apartment with full walls and wall to wall carpet. Now the place I'm in now is 900 sq ft. with 13 foot ceilings, a partial wall seperating the bedroom and bathroon and a concrete floor. I was actually surprised to find out that even with the concrete floor the speakers don't seem to bright at all, I haven't tweaked my settings on the receiver yet b/c I still haven't found my setup mic. I have noticed that I need to turn it up alot more to acheive the same volume level, I expected that, but didn't realize how much more it was going to be needed.

My TV also looks small on that really tall wall , I'm so tempted to make the jump to a projector and retire the TV to the bedroom, we'll see...
