I have beolab 6000 &amp; beolab 8000 speakers. I connected by kenwood amp to them and sound does not come out good.

<font color='#000000'>I ma new at this but a couple of simple things come to mind.

1) Phasing is correct ? &nbsp;Positive to Positive, &nbsp;Negative to Negative. &nbsp;

2) Do you have the impediance set correctly?

3) Are you sure the Amp isn't the problem

4) Does the amp have a good ground?

5) Is the connection from the Pre Amp / Receiver to the Amp correct. &nbsp;Are you running the B speakers at the PreAmp ? &nbsp;Double check connection. &nbsp;Connections Clean and secure?

Sorry I am no tech but these are things I would check.</font>

<font color='#000000'>Good how? &nbsp;Speakers are extermely dependent one's personal tastes. &nbsp;What sounds good to one person may be bad to another. &nbsp;One man's &quot;detailed&quot; or &quot;revealing&quot; might be another's &quot;tinny&quot; or &quot;bright&quot;.

If they are operating prioperly, this might be what you hear. &nbsp;It's said that while B &amp; O's designs may be visually stunning and their name is well known, but soundwise they are easily beaten by other gear with less prestigeous pedigrees.</font>

Your Beolabs

How did you hook these speakers up? The BeoLab's have built in Amps and do not need to use the Kenwood Amp for processing. They need to connect to the Pre-Out of the Amp so their own Amps can be used...

B&O speakers are not just pretty on the surface. They use state of the art technology built into the speaker to produce clean power for very clear and accurate sound. Far better than what the large commercial receivers are going to give you...

They should sound good.

I just bought a pair of Beolab 3's. The little 6" guys with built in 250 watt amps.. They replaced my definitive tech. speakers.... The difference now is like listening to music with the cotton taken out of my ears...

Even my wife was impressed and she thinks I'm crazy with all this stereo stuff.
