Speakers with built in Amplifiers

I am looking at purchasing a SONOS system for my home, and a local A/V dealer had one hooked up to some Polk Audio speakers that had built-in amplifiers. I am looking for any suggestions for other brands of speakers that offer this, or any advise as to whether or not they are worth it.

You would have more flexibility if you bought the Sonos with the amp built-in.
