I?m thinking in upgrading my Wharfedales Diamond 10.1 and I need a little help to decide about the SVS Ultra Bookshelf, the B&W 685 S2 and recently I read about the Revel Concerta2 M16 Bookshelf. I have a Marantz PM7005 to drive them and as sources RegaRP1 and Marantz CD6005. Any advice will be very welcome. I listen to classical, jazz, R&B and rock.

I would have said take a look at the Philharmonic Audio Philharmonitor, but I believe Dennis said there'd be delays with those. http://philharmonicaudio.com/ Maybe contact them and see what the status is.

The http://www.ascendacoustics.com/ Sierra 1 and Sierra 2 are available in B-stock currently as well.

I like Revel. Good stuff there. Step up from the B&Ws IMO. Have not heard the Ultras, but others here have.

I have Svs Ultra Towers (main room), Ultra Bookshelfs (computer room), and just listened to Ascend Sierra 2's a couple days ago. I'm thoroughly impressed with Sierra's 2 i bought them on the spot. IMO those ribbon tweeters level of detail are amazing. Jazz, classical, R&B, women's voices all sound great. For the type of music you like i would consider the Sierra's.

I think the only ones mentioned that would be such a significant step up from the Wharfdales are indeed the Ascend Sierra 2 or Philharmonitor. The others IMO are only slightly better.

Thanks for your coments and sugestions, I've been reading a lot about the Sierras, never heard about them. They seem to be a very nice speaker. Do you think they will work well with the Marantz PM7005 and the sw SVS SB1000? My living room is about 22 by 22 ft with a big open in the rear rigth corner.

Yes they will. It really doesn't matter with what amp/sub you pair the speakers with.

Yes and yes, I upgraded from 10.1s to Sierra 2's and am using them with a SVS SB12-NSD (approx. equivalent to the SB2000). The results are significant and easily discernable.
In fact, I kept the 10.1s connected to the B-speaker outputs and placed them on stands next to the 2's and have done many A/B comparisons for freinds and family--each were very impreseed with the detail and clarity improvement of the ribbon tweeters.
Cheers,
