Hi,

I'm thinking about setting a little home studio for me, and I have some doubts about how hooking everything up..
I pretend to buy M-Audio BX5a monitors, hook it up to my mac and my M-audio Xponent (DJ Mixer) with a Pioneer HTP702-SW subwoofer that I already own.

I made a little draft of the wirings and I would like to know if I can really do it without blowing anything up. I have little knowledge about impedance!

Thanks

The big problem I see is that you would be feeding your sub a full range signal ie bass through to the high ranges. This has the potential to degrade the output of the sub considerably unless it has an internal filter of its own (called a low pass filter).

Otherwise the sensitivities of the inputs look fine for level matching after the fact.
