Speakers Revisited

I really don't have a price range when it comes to speakers. I am new in that department. I usually bought systems with the speakers included and did not care much for it or how they worked, now I do care about the sound I listen to. I listen to R&B and Rock. I want good front speakers for the cd music along with a sub that matches for 2.1 sound. Then I want a good 5.1 package which makles movies very exciting. Any suggestions.

Is there any kind of maximum? There are some people on this board that can drop $20k on speakers without trouble, so saying there isn't a price range isn't too helpful.

But scolding aside, I'd like to help you out.

Speaker suggestions

Check out the new SVS 5.1 speaker system for about $900. Should be great for movies.

If you want to max out your budget, consider the Axiom Audio M22ti fronts, VP100 Center, and QS8 Surrounds. Add a 10" sub from SVS or HSU. This setup should be great for music and movies.

If you want to blast R&B party music, then look at floorstander's for the mains.

what size room do you have. what receiver or amp are you going to use.

have you listened to any speakers that you like. also you could look at 3000.00 speakers on audigon.com you can save as much as 50% there on demo or used.
