I've recently come into possession of a pair or free Pioneer CS-G911 speakers and was wondering if they're any good. Or at least decent compared to any of today's speakers.

From what I could gather they were made sometime between 1990-1993
4-WAY TWIN-BASS,(2)10""WOOFERS,3.38"" MIDRANGE,(2)2.5""TWTR is the product description I found

I'm new to all this stuff and I was just wondering if I found something good.

Thanks guys.

I can take pictures if anyone thinks it'll help.

I can't ever remember hearing a pioneer speaker that sounded amazing... That said, I haven't heard that many either. They have always made "decent" stuff and assuming that all the drivers work properly I'm sure they'll produce some ok noise.

I saw your other thread, hook em up to one of those receivers and see what you think. I'm sure they'll play plenty loud.

You should definitely post pictures, always post pictures... :D

Pioneer makes some awesome speakers but they are in the 30k price range if I remember correctly.
