Speakers for my 10x11 office

The 686's aren't too big? I thought you had an 11" height limit?

11" is upper end but the b&w's are are only 6.5" wide making them appear smaller.
It's really about hearing the new series and I'm going to an event tomorrow at Listen Up anyway so I thought I'd have a listen.

Picked up the 686s2's tonight at Listen Up's annual Music Matters event.
If you live in the Denver area, this is a must attend happening.
Factory reps from several top brands and discounts on most gear.
Sonus Faber Olympica 3's gave me a HUGE reason to go out and make mo money!
So far the 686 are better in this room than the PSB mini's but my wife says they lack sparkle? At the upper end..
Funny, I liked the tweeter better than than the minis. Still not quite as nice as the E41b's highs though.

I think I found what I was looking for

Ok, so the 686's went back today. Not enough mid-bass to make me happy, although I thought the tweeter was better than the Imagine Minis.
On a whim, I took home the CM-1 demos and what a nice surprise! The tweeter and mid- bass were better than anything I've had in the room,although the tweeter in the e-41b's was a dead heat.
I do believe I've found my huckleberry
Only question now is.. Wenge or Rosenut.
