Those are a couple of great speakers your looking at milco. I have the CSi5 and I am very happy with its performance. It really shows off at high volumes. I'm sure the 2500 will have no problem driving it. I have not heard the RTi6, but I'm sure its great. Are you planning on using it as fronts or backs? Have you thought about any other speakers or demoed them? Sometimes I feel that I should have gone for less power hungry(more efficient) speakers.

I am going to use as fronts for now and perhaps add rears after i see how they work out, I did hear different speakers in Tweeters, and a few other places and did a lot of reading, and came up with Polk so will see what happens

My take on Polk

I'm driving my CSi5, RTi10's, RTi4's, and FXi3's with a comparable Denon 3805 and it's about all my receiver can dish out. I'm in the market for a separate amp, so if you ask me, I'd recommend some 8 ohm >92dB spl speakers for your Yamaha 2500. The Polks are awesome speakers, but you'll never realize their potential without a beefy separate amp (or a flagship receiver).

Have you considered the Venturi DV62 CLRS center or DV62 SI bookshelves? The center channel is very comparable to my CSi5, with much better output due to it's efficient specs, plus I think it puts out better low end. The bookshelves are outstanding, and some guys even have the crossovers moded for $20 to make them compare to speakers costing several times as much. Lots of guys here have them, and I've yet to see one negative review. You'll flip when you see pricing.

I've got the RTi8 fronts, CSi3 center, and RTi4 rears. I thought the CSi5 would have been overkill for my system and wasn't worth a little gain for a lot of money. The 5 is twice as much as the 3 and I can't tell double the difference. Same deal when it came to getting the rears. I didn't really want to pay that much more for a little difference. (4 vs 6)

The floorstanding are a different story. I'm just too poor to afford the RTi10's or 12's

But if you have the $$ I'd say start off with RTi6's and the CSi3 unless you plan on moving your 6's to the rear and get floorstanding. The CSi5 would be too much center for me if I was using bookshelf fronts. (IMO)

EDIT: Oh I have a Marantz SR6400 and it does a decent job, but like the guy above me said, they would sound a lot better if they had their own amps!
