Speakers for Denton AVR-1911

I would like to upgrAde my current surround sound speakers....I would like to use my current AVR -- Denon AVR-1911. I have a 5.1 setup of.....all Cerwin-Vega

1. Front mid: LS-5c
2. 2 x LS-5b (front side)
3. 2 x LS-5A (rear)
4. LW-10 subwoofer


The cerwin vega have always sounded like people were speaking underwater. The new speakers will be used mostly for streaming movies, TV, DVDs as well as some video games and music.

Thoughts on a quality speakers for less than $1,000 would be greatly appreciated!!!!

With that budget, for a proper upgrade in sound quality, I'd suggest spending on L, R or L, C, R at most rather than a whole 5.0 or 5.1 set.
