Hello everyone

I'm planning on installing some new rears and this time I want to run the speaker wire in my walls and just drop the wire strait down from my speakers ...then come out the bottom by the baseboard, sounds easy enough but how do I get past the insulation in my walls. I'm sure there is a trick I'm overlooking.

I drilled the holes already but totally forgot walls had insulations   I'm blonde but not natural :)

Thanks for the help

I guess these are outside walls? Usually no insulation is put in interior walls ;)

How long is the run from the hole to the bottom? You need a stiff wire that you can push between the insulation and drywall's inside surface. Don't try it through the insulation or you will displace it and have cold spots and problems. Hopefully the insulation has a paper face facing the drywall?

Or, you may have to purchase an inexpensive wire snake from a place like Home Depot. That is a coil of flat spring steel with a loop on the end to tie the pulled wire through.

Hi
If this is an outside wall chances are very good there’s a fire block 1/2 way down the stud cavity
