Speaker Wire / Cables suggestions?

Okay I'm planning on buying a pair of CBM-170 SE,a SVS PB10-NSD and a Yamaha HTR-5960 Receiver. I was just wondering what gauge speaker wires I should get and recommendations for any other cables and wires I would need to purchase. Also where is a good place to purchase speaker wires and other cables?

The proper gauge for speaker wire depends on the length of the run and the impedance of the speakers you are using: See http://www.roger-russell.com for a chart of recommended gauge per length of run.

Most popular cable site on this forum has to be www.bluejeanscable.com.
I have yet to order anything from them, but if I ever do upgrade to a HDMI cable I would be a fool not to.
I bought my speaker cable from www.onecall.com they have Audioquest stuff for a reasonable price. A lot of people have been using speaker wire from home depot they say it works great as well.
Hope this helps.

monoprice.com, Home Depot, parts express, some at Radio Shack, WalMart, Target, etc.

Monoprice is a good bet

I second the suggestion for monoprice. I bought some 35 ft 22ga HDMI cables and also 18ga RG6 video component cables.
Excellent construction. Great picture from my projector on both cables. NO dropouts on the hdmi (sparklies etc). Makes me wonder why I spent $175 on my other 15 ft hdmi cable from DVIgear. Don't get me wrong. The DVIgear cable is really good but I won't be spending hundreds on cables anymore as long as the monoprice cable quality is sustained.

Please note. I did buy the best cables available for that length (35ft).
I have not tried their lower priced cables. At these prices, it seems a no-brainer to get the best available.

I should clarify that I did not try speaker cables or audio interconnects from monoprice so I cannot make a recommendation for or against them.
I can heartily recommend the Canare speaker cables that Blue Jeans Cables and Have Inc. sell and if I didn't have miles of cables already, I would be very tempted to try BJC's lower-priced Belden speaker cable too.
hth:)
