Speaker weight for top of TV mounting

I currently have a center speaker (27lbs) mounted on top of my Sony KF-50WE610 TV. I've had no issues with the weight of the speaker but now I'm looking at a new center that weighs 39lbs & was wondering if that might be too much weight for the center span of the TV. Any thoughts on the matter?

I really don't want to build a stand for the TV to sit on top of the speaker. I like it mounted on top of the TV.

simple. build a stand for the speaker.

You don't want to put a magnetized speaker anywhere near a TV if it's a cathode ray tube. Permanent damage.
