I've tried everything and so turn to those who may be able to help me out. I've recently moved into a new apartment and set up the same speaker system that I had in my old place. Though for some reason I cannot get the right front speaker to make any noise. I rewired everything, still no luck. I then tried to switch the wiring around (make the receiver think the right speaker was the left one) and the speaker works fine, then the other speaker wouldn't work. I thought there may be something wrong with the receiver, so I tried my roommates and the same thing happened. It also happened with another receiver I borrowed from a friend. I'm going crazy and out of ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a bad wire somewhere as the speakers obviously work. Try messing with or replacing speaker wires and other cables one at a time and see what happens.

Seriously, I have no life.

So, you moved the left speaker's wire to the right channel and it works. So, it is not the receiver's right channel.:D

then the other speaker wouldn't work.
You mean when the right speaker is connected to the left channel, it doesn't work? If so, you have speaker issues. Maybe in the move something happened?

If this is not what happened, please clarify your troubleshooting.

What you know for sure so far:
1. You know that the speakers are not the problem.
2. You can also be reasonably certain that the amplifier is not the problem, since your friend's amplifier does exactly the same thing.

Test using the built-in FM tuner. Inter-station hiss will do nicely.
If that still doesn't work, you'll know that the interconnects and source components are not the source of the problem.

Replace both speaker wires with new ones.
If that still doesn't work, you'll know that the speaker wires are not the source of the problem.

Now is about the right time to kick a field goal with a small animal.
